Syarifah Azzahra ; The English Can Support Your Career And Education For Tomorrow

Pekanbaru, 10/12/24.”English is Very Important in your life,  education and  career “said Syarifah Azzahra yesterday, during a Podcast hosted by DEMA. the event held on evening of December 10, 2024 at the  Faculty of Psychologi building , fucused on the topic “How  important is English For Student”the Podcast was hosted by Kayana student Faculty of Psichology

Syarifah shared that she became  familiar with English during her junior high school thanks to an exellent teacher who motivated her to learn, her strong determination came from both internal and external influences. She also expressed her desire to continuosly improve her English skills . supported by encoragaement of her parents which formed a solid foundation during her school years.

As the moderator,  Kayana expressed her admiration for Syarifah’s achievement in English  particularly in debates. Syarifahhas has won numerous accolades,   including a  Gold Medal at the Psychologi Islamic  Competition in 2023 and first runner-up in an English debate at UNRI, among other accomplisments.

Kayana posed several   questions to Syarifah during the discussion, the first question was. Why is English so important for students in today’s global era?

“I believe English essential because most psychology  journals and textbooks are written English. additionally, many akademic papers by students are English. Most Psychlogy expert are  from  Western countris where is the primary languange. English is also the international language for communication , buseness and diplomacy making it the most English is the most widely spoken in the world ” Syarifah explained

the second  question was: what motivated you to  study English?,

”initiall,  I  hated English because I found it  very difficult.  However, I  studied hard consistenly. Over time I realized that  English offers many opportunities, such as making it easier to secure a job in the future  ” Syarifah shared

Syarifah concluded with a message for student of the  Faculty of psychology:

“wherever you are , I encourage  you to work hard on your English skills, learning English can broaden  your horizons and provide numerous benefits, such as better job opportunities, enhanced   communication to the people in the worldwide, the ability to travel, access to education abroad, , greater cultural understanding, and enjoyment through enterteinment. Learning English can truly make you happy and fulfilled.

In the last session Syarifah emphasized :

if you are just starting to learn  English, there are many free resource available  to day. These include   You Tube,  English grammer books, Instagram, Social Media, Tik Tok and more.Wassalam
